Abersychan Badminton Club is a club with approx 12 members. We regularly use 2 courts in Pontypool Leisure Centre – . Feather shuttles are used exclusively.
We are a WBU accredited club and run three teams in the Gwent league, 1 Ladies , 1 Mens , 1 Mixed, and also enter a 2by2 (two ladies,two men) team for those new to competitive games. The club currently has several qualified coaches among its membership who are happy to help. On home match nights(see fixtures page) an additional court is booked for those not playing match. If you fancy a competitive social knock to work up a sweat on a club night, or getting in the team to play Gwent league then come on down.
Visitors and potential members are asked to contact Josh on first attendance. Visitor fees are £6 per session.
Although we play badminton seriously, we don’t take ourselves too seriously!
